Credit score
A person’s credit score is one of the biggest mysteries to that person, but yet it is also something that a person clings to whenever they can. Your credit score is a number derived by the various credit reporting agencies based on the events in your credit history. Many people know that things such as a credit card default can negatively affect a credit score, but there are several things that negatively affect a credit score that people are completely unaware of. In addition to that, credit score can also be found in online games such as Seafight or similar ones at the internet. One of the things that can negatively affect a credit score is a steady flow of entities checking a credit report looking to set up some sort of account. Each time a potential creditor accesses your credit report to see if you qualify for an account that can negatively affect your credit score. If you are repeatedly signing up for credit accounts, then that activity can cause your credit score to drop.
Another event that negatively affects your credit score is a frequent change of address. While this does not have a huge negative affect on your actual score, a frequent change of address can cause many potential creditors to decline your application for credit. A potential creditor looks for stability, and a frequent change of address is not a sign of stability.
It is always a good idea to check your credit report every so often just to make sure that there is nothing on there that does not apply to you. It does not happen often, but occasionally the credit reporting agencies will mistakenly put someone else’s negative credit event on your credit report and this will cause your score to drop. Check your credit report at least once every three months, and contest any entries that you do not recognize as being a part of your personal credit history.
